My first trip ever to Atlanta, Georgia and goose bumps I felt when I visited MLK Historical Site

On my recent trip to Atlanta, Georgia, the city where a lot of people call it the “black capital” , I was interested in visiting the most interesting tourist attractions. One of the tourist attractions that I visited was MLK’s historic site which is where his church is located. The new church and his tomb is located there also. When I was there, I wanted to see where MLK was resting, but what amazed me was the fact his wife, Coretta Scott King was buried next to him and how he fought for black people in this country. From watching the movie Selma, he fought even when the FBI were trying to mess up his and Coretta’s relationship, but Coretta stuck with him thought it all. That is very, very powerful.
It was my first time visiting Atlanta, and seeing where MLK was buried. It’s was a very special moment for me as a black man, and I recommend everyone who supports human rights to visit MLK’s historic site when you visit Atlanta. I will cherish the moment I spent there forever and I will never forget it.
I will definitely go back to visit it the next time I go to Atlanta. I didn’t get to see inside because it was closed but seeing the site where he and Coretta were buried together surrounded by moving water, reminded me of the work MLK put into to try to free black people. it reminded me how slaves were chained in ships to get in this country. Next to MLK’s tomb there was a wall with pictures that represented the achievements MLK accomplished. It was a very special moment for me and I will never forget it.
